Corey Walker serves as Senior Vice President. Corey leads Platform Ventures’ efforts related to the entitlement, development, construction, financing, leasing and eventual disposition of a wide range of real estate assets located throughout the country, including single-family residential, multifamily residential, master planned communities, mixed use and industrial. He has successfully managed the workout and disposition of more than $1.2 billion of non-performing CRE and ADC loans and real assets and overseen the origination of more than $1.0 billion in residential lot acquisition and development loans.
Previously, Corey was a Senior Associate at Gould Evans, where he provided planning and consulting services to private developers, corporations, municipalities, and other governmental jurisdictions and agencies. Corey is actively involved in the Urban Land Institute, serving on the Residential Neighborhood Development Council. He also serves on the advisory council of the Lewis White Real Estate Center of the UMKC Bloch School of Business and is a guest lecturer for the graduate program’s development and construction class.
Corey has a bachelor’s degree in community and regional planning with a minor in economics from Iowa State University. He also has a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in finance from the Bloch School of Business at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
